Think About Real Estate

As a new real estate agency opening in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Wynnum, Think About Real Estate wanted a web presence that would distinguish them from branches of the major real estate agencies operating in the area. The look and feel needed to be local and authentic and speak to the founder’s understanding of the area and the agency’s target demographic.

The Brief

The client wanted compelling and bespoke local photography to be used to clearly evoke the flavour of the area, as opposed to using stock photography. This also allowed for a more creative and vital aesthetic.

In terms of functionality, it was important the site would make it easy for users to view local listings across both desktop and mobile internet. The contact information and functionality also needed to be simple and have an element of call to action.

Our graphic design team came up with a very neat solution to adapting the agency’s branding for the web. The main colours of the brand are black and white, and we ran with that, as it enhances the ability of the property and suburb images to stand out as the hero on the pages.

The vertical black strip with the house branding cutout that is used across all the flyers and print collateral was incorporated as both an aesthetic and functional element.

The website development incorporates an easy-to-edit slider on the home page, which the client can use going forward to present different regular promotions. It also has easily managed listings for the client to present available properties in the area.

A unique element of the design is the always-on left-hand side menu formed by the vertical black strip from the branding. It enables users to navigate the site extremely easily, even from the bottom of the page.

Each page has a slide-out contact form so users can make contact as soon as possible, without needing to navigate to a separate “contact us” page.

User experience

As soon as someone arrives at the Think About Real Estate home page, they are enticed to scroll through a gallery of stunning full screen imagery. They do not even need to leave the home page to make contact when something appeals to them, as the contact form is prominent in the design and sticks to the right hand side of every page.
