Does your business have an annual turnover of more than 3 million?
At the time of writing, if your business has an annual turnover of more than $3 million, you must comply with the Privacy Act. If you turnover less you may still have to comply depending on your business type. See here for more information.
If you do not have to comply with the privacy act then a privacy policy is optional. However, you may still need to include other legal information such as terms and conditions, or disclaimers.
