With a vision to transform a 1920’s original Queenslander character home into a modern office space, iCreate purchased a new base for our agency in Cannon Hill.
The site offered dual residential and office zoning, however, with the home almost 100-years-old, we were tasked with transforming a Queensland relic into a creative work-hub worthy of housing 11 staff members – while also setting a sterling standard of professionalism for our valued clients.
Converting into a studio was always going to be a lot of work, so it was important we chose a builder with lots of experience in renovations, and with plenty of ideas and energy.
Enter Kai Konstruct, who were unperturbed by the task at hand despite being faced with winding hallways as well as awkwardly-placed bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen, impossible of working for a modern functioning office.
But after meeting with Kai Konstruct owner and builder Tim Sayce, we had no hesitation in trusting Tim with the mammoth task at hand – which he delivered upon in just 12 weeks.
The iCreate office now resembles a modern work space, boasting a huge timber floor open-plan work area, beautiful sitting room and huge boardroom, perfectly draped with fixtures, fittings and textures exuding a modern feel – while also giving a nod to the dwelling’s nostalgic past.
New male and female bathrooms and modern kitchen round out a complete overhaul of the interior, while the exterior has also been transformed via a new colour scheme, completing the three-month renovation.
And after doing a wonderful job, we’d be only too happy to recommend Tim and the Kai Konstruct team.
