Basecamp
Basecamp’s a super simple and useful collaboration tool. It keeps all the discussions and tasks (Basecamp calls them to-dos) for your website project all in one place, distilled from the chaos of our email inboxes.
This helps tremendously as we will have multiple team members working on your website project, and is extremely valuable for everyone to have easy access to all relevant comms.
Once tasks are completed, questions addressed, or discussions concluded they are ticked off. It makes it very easy to see where everything’s at.
Everything you need to know in 5 screenshots
1. We’ll use it to assign tasks to you when we need something.

It won’t be often, but if we need something specific from you, we’ll assign you a task.
2. We’ll send you designs for feedback/approval via basecamp

In the design phase of the project, Basecamp makes it very clear which template designs have been approved and which designs are undergoing revision based on your feedback.
3. Towards the end of the project, we’ll send you a staging server link and invite you to send us any fine-tuning feedback

Sending feedback tasks to us via Basecamp makes it very easy for us to rapidly complete your changes and get the site finalised for going live.
4. Sometimes things Just need to be discussed

Occasionally things will require a bit of discussion back and forth, and it’s so much clearer having the discussion kept distilled on its own thread rather than over a dozen emails.
5. IT’s a summary of all the open collaboration tasks and discussions

Simply respond to the items we send you via basecamp and we’ll have everything we need to progress rapidly
Don’t worry it’s not complicated. We chose it specifically for client collaboration because it’s incredibly simple and intuitive. We’re more than happy to run you through this over zoom, plus there’s a quick video tutorial in the FAQs below.
Shouldn't there be more tasks in here?
Don’t worry if you logon and see only a few tasks. We use a much more sophisticated project management system called Liquid Planner for our internal workflow, we will only add tasks to Basecamp when items require client feedback or collaboration.
Is there a tutorial video?
There is! If you want to see an example of it in action, we’ve created a short explainer video, showing what basecamp is and why we use it here: https://youtu.be/2eJzDIpfFXA
Of course we are always happy to run you through this in person over zoom/screehsaring software.
Do I really have to use this? I really just want to use email
If you prefer not to log in to Basecamp very often (or at all), don’t worry. Anything we do in Basecamp will still generate relevant notification emails. You can reply to any Basecamp notifications directly from your email and Basecamp will do the job of keeping all correspondence stored in one place.
*That said, we do encourage you to click into Basecamp rather than reply via email. The projects with the best collaboration, efficiency and momentum tend to be those where our clients embrace Basecamp.
